Kanya is an avid supporter of many charities. Over the years she has helped to raise awareness and funding for numerous organisations, large and small, including Warchild, Action Medical Research, The African-Caribbean Leukaemia Trust, The Loomba Foundation and From Boyhood to Manhood Foundation.

Having not received any guidance herself as a young entrepreneur Kanya values the importance of mentorship and as such has volunteered her time as a mentor for many individuals. She has also taken part in various initiatives including the Marie Claire Inspire and Mentor campaign and the Thomson Local Build a Business scheme.
